COVID-19 Fishing Guidelines for the 2020 Season
A message from Joe Angleson, MML President...
The 2020 fishing is open effective April 28th, 2020, with limitations.
There are some important changes in our operations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We need to exhibit behavior consistent with State and County Public Health Orders (PHO). The Lake County Order, issued April 23rd, 2020, can be viewed here. We ask that you read this entire document carefully and abide by the all the guidelines set forth. It is essential that we adhere to these rules and expectations.
In this new PHO, paragraphs 4f & 4g speak to second homeowners and visitors to Lake County and the possibility that Lake County would join other CO counties in restricting access, even of 2nd home owners, to Lake County. With the help of Greg Brunjak, I was able to communicate with one of the County Commissioners over the last 2 days. As a result, MML members do have permission to use their cabin and club property.
In an effort to best comply with the new Lake County PHO, we have had to modify the guest payment/registration process. Therefore, until further notice, we are limiting each Mount Massive Lakes member to having no greater than 5 (five) guests on any one day, and no groups larger than 10 (ten) counting yourself, your family members and guests.
Taking all that into consideration, please pay close attention to all points in the order. This is for the good of our members, their guests and staff. If we do our job with following these guidelines, we should be able to enjoy another great year at MML.
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy change or anything contained in the Lake County PHO, please feel free to contact me or any other member of the Board of Directors. We will provide updates as things change, which they surely will.
Thank you!
